It’s that time of year – back to school!
Let me ask you a question… do you know if your child is learning structured literacy or whole language in their classroom this year?
If you don’t know, this episode is for you! In our season 3 premiere, I’m joined by Jill Kohlenberg. Jill is an educator who spent many years teaching Kindergarten and Pre-K followed by teaching 4th-grade and 5th-grade reading. After 13 years, she left teaching to start her own private tutoring business. She has a Master’s degree in Reading and an Ed.S in Curriculum. She’s also Orton-Gillingham trained and certified. She knows there are lots of different ways to get an education and she’s passionate about supporting families no matter where they are on their journey. She also runs an educational training company, Tutor Success Academy, with her business partner, Emily Gibbons.
Tune in to this episode as we discuss what to expect as our kids go back to school, how to help with the transition, what to look for in your child’s reading curriculum, and when to get help!
