MEET YOUR TEACHER!

Adelle Southall

Adelle is a certified Elementary school teacher with credentials in TESOL and training in the Orton Gillingham method. She is a Maryland girl, wife, fur mom of one, who bops to dance hits of the 2000’s while she gets stuff done. When she’s not tutoring she’s spending as much time as possible with her friends and always ready to celebrate life’s small moments with a snowball or a cookie cake.

When the pandemic hit in 2020 Adelle started tutoring as a hobby and loved the freedom it gave her to ACTUALLY teach students the ways they needed to be taught, at the levels they need. After teaching in Maryland Public Schools for 14 years she resigned to go into online tutoring full time. After just 6 months of online tutoring Adelle became a fully booked tutor. She loves the freedom that tutoring provides, allowing her to meet the specific and nuanced needs of all of her students.

Adelle graduated from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education in 2006. She taught 5th, 3rd, and 2nd grades while obtaining her master’s and certification in TESOL, Teachers of English as a Second Language. Adelle graduated from McDaniel College in 2019 with a degree in TESOL. The last 5 years of Adelle’s public school teaching career were spent as an Elementary ESOL teacher. She began teaching online in August 2021 and resigned from the public school system in February 2021.

MEET YOUR HOST!

Ashley DiMercurio

I am a certified Reading Interventionist, teacher, wife, and mom to two beautiful children living in Vermont. I grew up here and chose to return here to raise my family. We love being outside!

I am a passionate educator and am always looking for creative ways to make learning fun. While I loved being a classroom teacher, I decided I wanted more time with my young children. As they got older, I realized I missed teaching and have fallen in love with tutoring online. It gives me the best of both worlds! I can make authentic connections with students and help them grow as learners, and also be the mom I want to be for my children.

I went to college at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. I graduated with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelors in Elementary Education. I taught in elementary classrooms for 7 years, always with a focus and passion for Reading and Writing. I began teaching online in the summer of 2017 and haven't looked back. I enjoy working 1-1 with my students. It allows me to personalize learning and watch them grow in their skills and confidence.
