Katie Gettys
Katie is a teacher business coach and online music studio owner. In 2018, she quit her public school job as an elementary music teacher to travel the world full-time for 1.5 years. After returning to the US during the pandemic, she started teaching online with Outschool and, in her first year, surpassed her old classroom teaching salary by nearly $30,000.
She's now expanded as an organization and hired other teachers to teach alongside her, has a active YouTube channel, and a Teachers Pay Teachers store. And she's on a mission to help other teachers do the same: to realize what they truly want and what they're capable of, and to equip them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to achieve it.
Katie lives in Brooklyn, NY where she loves exploring her city, hanging at her rock gym, and traveling as much as possible (next on the list: Toronto)

Ashley DiMercurio
I am a certified Reading Interventionist, teacher, wife, and mom to two beautiful children living in Vermont. I grew up here and chose to return here to raise my family. We love being outside!
I am a passionate educator and am always looking for creative ways to make learning fun. While I loved being a classroom teacher, I decided I wanted more time with my young children. As they got older, I realized I missed teaching and have fallen in love with tutoring online. It gives me the best of both worlds! I can make authentic connections with students and help them grow as learners, and also be the mom I want to be for my children.
I went to college at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. I graduated with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelors in Elementary Education. I taught in elementary classrooms for 7 years, always with a focus and passion for Reading and Writing. I began teaching online in the summer of 2017 and haven't looked back. I enjoy working 1-1 with my students. It allows me to personalize learning and watch them grow in their skills and confidence.
